Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
This policy explains what Social Ink LLC ("Social Ink", "we") collects when creators use Social Ink and when fans visit social.ink pages, why, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller. Contact: legal@social.ink, 8871 Greentop Rd, Lincoln, DE 19960.
Fans visiting a page
- No cookies and no tracking scripts on creator pages.
- When you view a page or tap a link we record: the page or link, the time, your approximate country, region and city (from your connection, via Cloudflare), device type, operating system and browser, the site or app that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link.
- To count unique visitors we store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser, made with a secret key. We never store your IP address itself, and the hash can't be turned back into it.
- If you confirm you are 18+ before an adult link, that choice stays in your browser for the session only.
- If you report a page, we keep your report and, if you give it, your email so we can follow up.
- If you join a creator’s email list on their page, we store your email address, when you joined and where you came from (for example “instagram”), and show them only to that creator. The creator can export the list to email you, and they’re responsible for those emails and for honouring your request to stop. To be removed, ask the creator or email legal@social.ink and we’ll take you off that list. If the creator deletes the list, the page or their account, your address is deleted with it.
Creators see these numbers as totals and lists of recent visits, without any names, emails or IP addresses, apart from emails fans choose to give them through a sign-up form.
Creators
- Account details: email address. We don’t use passwords: you sign in with a one-time code we email you.
- A mobile number you give at sign-up, so we can contact you about your account. We don’t verify it, and it’s never shown on your page or to anyone outside our team.
- Your pages: username, name, bio, links, socials and settings you add.
- Photos you upload. We remove location, camera and other metadata from every photo before it is stored.
- Messages you send our team, and our replies.
- Email lists fans join on your pages.
- Basic security logs, such as sign-in attempts, used to protect accounts.
Why we use it
- To run the Service: show your page, send visitors where they asked to go, and show you your stats (performing our contract with you).
- To keep the Service safe: prevent abuse, spam and fraud, enforce our Terms, and respond to reports (our legitimate interests).
- To email you about your account: sign-in codes, replies from our team, and important changes.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use it for ads.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and location lookup.
- Supabase: database, authentication and photo storage.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Slack: our team's support inbox for messages you send us (your usernames and the start of your message, never your email), and alerts when something on Social Ink breaks (the page or account id, browser, country and the error, never names, emails or IP addresses).
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account and page data: until you delete it. Deleting a page or your account removes it, its photos and its stats straight away.
- Database backups roll off within 7 days.
- Reports and our admin records of actions taken: as long as needed to handle the report and keep the Service safe.
Your rights
You can see and change your details in your dashboard and delete your account in Settings. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to or restrict how we use it, by emailing legal@social.ink. If you're in the EEA or UK you can complain to your data protection authority. If you're a California resident, you have the rights above under the CCPA, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
Children
Social Ink is for adults. Creators must be 18 or older, and we delete accounts we learn belong to someone younger.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, only our own servers can reach the database, and our admin tools sit behind a separate company sign-in.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell creators by email or in the dashboard before it applies.
